As we come out of lockdown, you’ll be introduced to lessons in one of our state-of-the-art classrooms equipped with the latest learning technologies. Don’t worry if you haven’t got a laptop as we can loan you one to help you learn with us.

Aside from English and maths, our spring and summer 2021 qualification courses include hair and beauty, accounting and bookkeeping, computer and digital skills, childcare, adult social care, and volunteer training for our English Conversation Clubs.

If you are worried about the cost of doing a course to gain new skills, our friendly experienced team can help.
If you are unemployed, you can take a course and gain a qualification for free. Many of our courses are free or up to 70 per cent off depending on your circumstances.

Boost your spirits and your skills with our free Feel Good Workshops! These short sessions are all online using Zoom. Some workshops are for adults aged 19 and older, some are only for parents and carers, and others are for families with children.

Our Passport to Work programme gives you complete support at every stage of your journey into a new job. The course includes digital skills, interview skills and teamwork. You will also create a learning plan and get access to job vacancies.

An apprenticeship is a job with training. Did you know there’s no upper age limit for apprentices? You can become an apprentice if you are over 16 and have English and maths qualifications. Apprenticeships are a great way to learn on the job and start a new career!

Our Friends and Neighbours (FAN) team partners with local organisations to deliver virtual events and activities. These activities help to connect residents across the borough and build stronger communities.
FAN has engaging virtual workshops, courses and creative arts projects that are free for all Waltham Forest residents.

We understand that it can be hard to access a computer to keep up with your learning. To help, we have a new laptop loan service and we are exploring ways to help with internet access too.
Thanks to a grant from the Greater London Authority, we currently have 300 laptops to loan to our learners. Ask about our laptop loans – and free digital skills support – during your free course assessment.
