As part of Waltham Forest Council's Digital Month, we have several free online workshops for adults.
Learn how to use Zoom Meeting; design your own website using WordPress; use Microsoft Photos to edit videos; and use Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. The last workshop is on 25 November 2020 so there's still time to book yours.

At the recent national Festival of Learning 2020 ceremony, the Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service social prescribing programme won the Health and Wellbeing award!
We are very proud of our expert team and the work they do to promote better mental health and wellbeing especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our award-winning nationally recognised programme includes creative and gardening courses to help residents learn together and explore our beautiful outdoor spaces.
How to join the programme
Lockdown is hard for many of us. If you are feeling isolated, or worried about your wellbeing, please ask your GP, nurse or primary care health professional about social prescribing or community referral courses. Read more about the programme on our website.

Practise speaking English in a small friendly group. Join one of our free English Conversation Clubs.

Our Friends and Neighbours (FAN) team has a stimulating range of virtual workshops, courses and creative arts projects that are free for all Waltham Forest residents.
Free FAN courses and workshops include unconscious bias training, virtual Bollywood fitness, costume-making, hair and makeup workshops, and the Share-ArtBox creative art project.

Most of our courses are free or up to 70 per cent off depending on your circumstances.

On Thursday 10 September 2020, we held our first online Q&A information session. We had short presentations on all our subject areas and answered questions from participants. Videos of some of our presentations are on our YouTube playlist. We'll be adding more videos so subscribe to the channel to get notifications.
