Details of how health and care in a new Whipps Cross Hospital could be delivered have been published by Barts Health NHS Trust.

The report looks at the way different specialities can be provided at the new hospital and takes into account lessons learnt due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This includes a significant increase in the number of single bed rooms for patients, which should account for around half the in patient rooms.

Barts Health and their local partners, including Waltham Forest Council, are holding a virtual information evening for Waltham Forest residents on Thursday 15 October 2020, from 6.30pm - 8.30pm.

Residents will hear how the proposals for new health facilities will be provided and how the development of the existing hospital site will help deliver much needed new housing and community facilities in this part of the borough.
