Lea Bridge Station entrance inside CGI 210920

Earlier this year we asked for your ideas on how to improve the entrance to Lea Bridge Station and got a great number of suggestions.

Since then we have been working with Greater Anglia to find the best solution that works for them operationally while also making it a more pleasant place for passengers using this station.

On Tuesday 29 September 2020 from 6pm the team working on the station entrance will be holding a virtual meeting to inform residents of the final design proposals.

We hope you will be able to join us at this meeting but ask that you register beforehand so we can ensure the technology can cope.

A planning application was submitted on Friday 18 September 2020 and now needs to be validated.

It normally takes up to two weeks for the planning application to be validated.

When validation is approved Planning Services will start a statutory consultation where residents can make comments on the planning application.

The application will be considered by the Planning Committee towards the end of the year.

If approved work is likely to begin in summer 2022 and the first passengers using the entrance in autumn 2023.

We will issue another email newsletter when the application has been validated.
