Regal Cinema planning application

Regal Cinema 2016 scheme CGI

The planning application, reference number 173877,  to redevelop the Regal Cinema with two cinema screens, a cafe and 30 new homes was approved by Waltham Forest Council’s Planning Committee on Tuesday 7 July 2020.

This was primarily a procedural requirement to agree amendments to the previously proposed legal agreement.

Library reopens this week

Hale End Library

From Tuesday 14 July, Hale End Library will reopen. 

There are additional measures in place to ensure for the safety of both library users and staff – please follow the guidance. 

Extra cleaning will be undertaken, but we also urge visitors to take personal responsibility in wiping down shared equipment, and queues may be introduced to manage the number of people in the building. 

Please bear with us as we all get used to the new arrangements in place.

Businesses in Highams Park can get a free listing in the Waltham Forest Connected Business Directory which is now being widely promoted as part of the Council's campaign to support our High Streets.

Social media advertisements are being run to help reach more customers, helping them find everything they need locally at the click of a button. 

The Council will also feature the directory in the July edition of Waltham Forest News, which is sent to 100,000 addresses across the borough.

We encourage all local businesses to submit their business directory listing to get the message out that they are still trading.

All you need to do is add your details and provide a small amount of information about the products and services you offer.
