Demolition of the garages behind Central Parade is due to begin on Monday 9 March 2020 and will take around six weeks to complete.
Diversion of below ground gas pipes and preparations for moving the electricity sub-station will follow after completion of the demolition works.
Work will take place between 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday with no working at weekends.
Occasionally, lorries will be reversing on to the site between 10am and 3pm with staff supervising those lorry movements.
For security reasons the site will be fenced off and residents are asked to make sure that children especially are kept away from the site.
To minimise disruption and noise a mini-excavator will be used along with hand tools.
The waste materials will be sent to recycling centres for reuse.
Parking is not allowed on the access roads at the rear of Central Parade. During the work there will still be parking restrictions in place.
Please make sure you abide by those restrictions or your vehicle will be removed which means you will have to pay a charge to get it back.
Essential deliveries can still take place to the rear area by arrangement but there will still be no parking for residents or businesses, including staff.

Under a separate demolition notice, we are due to put hoardings up to make the site secure, with demolition works during March 2020.
The full scheme should be completed by the end of 2021.

Closed circuit television (CCTV) is designed to help reduce the fear of crime and help deter and detect crime including anti-social behaviour and enviro crime.
The council is responsible for choosing the locations and monitoring of public space CCTV.
We are currently surveying residents for their views on CCTV in the borough.
The deadline for completing the survey is Sunday 22 March 2020.

Across Waltham Forest, the Council is working to deliver more affordable homes for local people, including Council homes for rent and for shared ownership, where local residents get the first option to buy so they can get a foot on the housing ladder. Our aim is to achieve 50 per cent affordable housing when taking account of all housing schemes across the borough.
An important part of these developments is delivering improved transport services, new health hubs, schools and community facilities alongside new shops and work spaces to provide local jobs.
The Council has been set a target of 18,000 new homes being built in the borough over the next 10 years and our aim is to include as many affordable homes within that figure as possible.
The Greater London Authority’s annual monitoring report, published in October 2019, shows we have provided a higher proportion of affordable housing – at 42 per cent – than any other London borough since 2015. This is compared to just 17 per cent across the capital.

Please encourage friends and family to sign up so they too can stay connected with what's happening in our borough.
