Working with contemporary composer and sound artist Nye Parry, a unique sound installation positioned at the entrance to The Mall on the High Street is launching this weekend.
The sounds, collected with the help of local volunteers earlier this year, drew inspiration from the immediate natural environment of Walthamstow Wetlands and Epping Forest.
The composition aims to celebrate the role of the High Street as a connector between those key local natural assets and celebrate public life on the High Street.
Join us on Saturday 7 December at 3.30pm to be the first to hear the sound piece and talk to us about your experience of the High Street.

On the second Sunday of every month the Friends of Cheney Row Park (FoCRP) holds a litter pick.
Recently there’s been a lot of young people coming along to join in, so they asked them why.
Here’s what some of them said:
“I like it! It’s fun!” says Jessie, aged six. “It’s like a treasure hunt or an Easter egg hunt but it also makes me feel happy for the world.”
Bella, aged 12, agrees that it is a great thing to do. “At first, I didn’t think it would be as fun as it is,” she said. “I’m not usually outside, so it’s nice to get out in the sun and help the environment. Plus I found 51p!”
Come and join them on Sunday 8 November, 11am – 1.30pm.
You can keep up to date with what’s happening through the Cheney Row Park email newsletter.

Twenty-five years after its first release, a brand-new recording of the classic East 17 Christmas No1, Stay Another Day, is out now.
The new version features the 100-strong Waltham Forest Youth Choir accompanied by East London Brass, with East 17 founding member Tony Mortimer on keyboards.
Despite its position as one of the country's favourite Christmas No 1s, Stay Another Day was actually written by Tony for his brother, who committed suicide.
Watch, stream, download or preorder the CD single
25 per cent of the proceeds generated from all sales of the single will be donated to Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), the charity leading a movement against suicide.
