The Council has prepared a Draft St James' Quarter Public Realm Design Guide to provide guidance for the enhancement of public areas in the St James Quarter area of Walthamstow Town Centre.
It aims to improve the key north-south and east-west pedestrian and cycle links through the area and set out good design principles for public areas and links between sites.
A public consultation is being held between Monday 22 July 2019 and 5pm on Monday 30 September 2019.

There are three resident drop in events during the consultation period.
All are being held at The Mill, 7 to 11 Coppermill Lane, Walthamstow, E17 7HA. They are on:
- Saturday 10 August, 10.30am to 1.30pm
- Wednesday 14 August, 4.30 to 7.30pm
- Tuesday 17 September, 4.30 to 7.30pm

We are preparing a new Local Plan and want to know your views on how the area should look in 2035.
Consultation on the Draft Local Plan is taking place until Monday 30 September with meetings across the borough plus an online consultation.
We hope you’ll share your views with us, so we know what residents think about the proposals.
