Walthom Forest

Delivering on our promises

Across Waltham Forest the Council is working to deliver more affordable homes for local people, including Council homes for rent and for shared ownership where local residents get the first option to buy so they can get a foot on the housing ladder.

An important part of these developments is delivering improved transport services, new health hubs, schools and community facilities alongside new shops and work spaces to provide local jobs.

The Score Centre site in Leyton is currently the largest project in the Council’s programme bringing new facilities and homes to this part of our borough.

In February, local residents and organisations contributed their views on the original design proposals for  the redevelopment of the site.

Since then, the developer Taylor Wimpey has been working on new plans to take account of the feedback given.

Residents can find out more about the revised proposals for The Score site during a drop-in session on Monday 3 June between 12.30pm and 8pm at the Community Room, The Score Centre, 100 Oliver Road, Leyton, E10 5JY.

Your comments on these latest proposals will also be taken on board before a planning application is prepared.

A planning application is due to be submitted during the summer of this year when there will be a further opportunity for residents to comment.
