The popular market run by Leyton and Stone designers is back for the summer and in a new location.
The first market is due to be held on Saturday 11 May, 11am to 3pm, in Church Lane between the tube station and the car park.
Do pop along and see what’s on sale as there are sure to be great bargains to be had and quality items to buy.

London College of Fashion is working with Waltham Forest Council to deliver a Making for Change project as part of the London Fashion District programme.
A number of events are planned for the summer including at the new Arbeit Studios in Leytonstone, Switchboard Studios and the Walthamstow Garden Party.
If you’re interested in fashion that is sustainable keep an eye open for dates of these events.

The former supermarket in Church Lane is being transformed into 11 studios and an open space for meetings, exhibitions and events.
Ten of the studios will be for local creative businesses and the other will be used by Waltham Forest Council Business Growth Team and other parts of the Council to support local businesses.
Arbeit Studios will be managing the centre on behalf of the Council and an Open Day for anyone wanting to find out more is being held on Saturday, 4 May between 1pm and 4pm.

We already have several hundred Leytonstone residents who are interested in Connecting Communities.
Now there's an opportunity for you to meet with your network area manager, Smira Javed, to discuss key issues and priorities for the area, volunteering opportunities and the various ways to build community support networks. The meeting will also include a discussion on the issues around serious youth violence.
The meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May, 1pm to 3pm, at Leytonstone Library, Church Lane, Leytonstone, E11 1HG.

Blakedown Landscapes will start work in May on the new Pocket Park for Victoria Road.
The design has been developed after extensive consultation with residents.
The work should be completed by the end of July.
It is being paid for by a grant from the Mayor of London and is one of a number of small projects as part of a programme of improvements for South Leytonstone.

The Human Library is coming to Leytonstone on Saturday 8 June as part of the London Borough of Culture 2019 programme.
From 10am to 12 noon you can sit down with ‘living’ books for intimate and challenging conversations.
The aim is that through fascinating stories with local people from all walks of life you will re-think prejudices and assumptions.
