TfL to close car park from Friday 15 March 2019

Blackhorse Point Transport for London car park

From the evening of Friday 15 March Transport for London (TfL) is closing the Blackhorse Road Station car park, currently run by NCP.

This is to allow work to start on the Blackhorse Point development which was given planning permission in December 2018.

In 2017, the 1.8 acre car park site was unlocked for development by the Mayor of London, and has been allocated for a new residential-led, mixed-use and car-free scheme by both the Greater London Authority and the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

Transport improvements

Blackhorse Road Station Opening 030918

Last September the newly upgraded Blackhorse Road Station was officially opened. It will support the regeneration of the Blackhorse Lane area to benefit residents and businesses.

The £900,000 project was jointly funded by Transport for London and the Greater London Authority, working with Waltham Forest Council, and included new ticket barriers and customer information systems.

We will soon be announcing details of work to improve The Standard junction to help make it easier and safer to navigate.
