 Back by popular demand Friday 30 November will see the return of our free Christmas Extravaganza at the Town Hall from 4pm to 8.30pm.
The event promises to be filled with all things festive, including an indoor ‘Makers and Creators’ Christmas gift market in the Assembly Hall, featuring more than 50 local businesses. The Adult Learning Service will also be hosting a special craft fair in the main Town Hall reception, including festive workshops, to ensure you have Christmas all wrapped up.
Joining us again this year will be our prodigal sons, East 17 who will be performing their greatest hits and helping us kick off the festive season with our Christmas light switch on.
There will also be an array of food and drink stalls, live entertainment, kids crafts and face painting, tours of the Town Hall Building and a chance to meet Santa himself - we'll see yule there!

There’s a wide range of markets taking place in the next month where you can get good deals on the food you need for a fantastic Christmas as well as ideal gifts for friends and family, made by local traders, artists and creative businesses.
With most markets also offering great street food and entertainment for the children visiting one of our markets makes it an ideal day out for the family.
 There are lots of Christmas bargains to be snapped up at two markets in Leytonstone this Christmas, as well as two school fairs.
Davies Lane School is holding its Christmas Fair from 12 noon until 4pm on Saturday 1 December and George Tomlinson School is holding its Christmas Fair on Thursday 13 December between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.
Leyton and Stone Designers Market is at Leytonstone Library in Church Lane from 11am until 4pm on Saturday 1 December.
There will be more than 20 stalls of delightful handmade goods and festive foodie treats, plus entertainment while you shop and take selfies with Santa!

 On Saturday 8 December from 11am to 4pm the Stones Throw Market will be taking place at St John’s Church Hall, in Church Lane, Leytonstone.
Traders at the market will be a mix of designer makers and those selling vintage and retro wares .

Peppa Pig and the Paw Patrol will be appearing at the switching on of the Christmas lights on Saturday 1 December from 12 noon until 4pm.
Organised by Love North Chingford, you can also have a selfie taken with Santa as he visits shops in Station Road and The Green.
Shaw’s Butchers will be doing a hog roast, which you can enjoy with some Mulled Wine as you follow the Christmas shop window trail.
The London Cake Company will be offering a range of festive goodies from 3pm to 7pm making this and ideal family event.
There’s another Christmas Market in North Chingford on Saturday 15 December so you can support local traders while buying those last minute presents.
 Tinsel, Tidings and Treats will be on offer on Saturday 1 December when Love South Chingford hold its annual Christmas event in Chingford Mount starting at 2pm with the St Edmunds Brass Band, then at 3pm fresh from the North Pole Santa will arrive with free presents for the children. Chris Deering, local DJ, will provide live music through until 4.30pm when local veteran Maurice will start the countdown to switching on the Christmas Tree lights.
Then the wonderful Harmony E4 Choir who will sing us into the festive season with traditional carols.
Silk Markets will have stalls open throughout the day and costume characters will be making guest appearances during the afternoon. Please come along and have a free mince pie and cup of mulled wine and make this another successful community get together.
There will also be markets, with plenty of Christmas bargains, in South Chingford on Saturday 8 December and Saturday 22 ecember so do come along and support your local traders.
