Waltham Forest Council and the Metropolitan Police Service are working together to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in the St James Street area.
We are holding a community meeting with residents who live in and around St James Street on Tuesday 20 November at 6.30pm at Mission Grove Primary School, Buxton Road E17 7EJ.
We’ll tell you about the work we’re doing and we will invite you to provide ideas to help make St James Street a safer place to live.
Tackling crime and anti-social behaviour in the St James Street area
We know that in recent months there have been a number of ongoing issues and incidents relating to anti-social behaviour, crime and gangs in and around St James Street. This is a key priority for us all and we’re working hard to crack down on this unacceptable behaviour to make your streets safer.
Since the beginning of October, Police and Council Officers have carried out a number of joint, targeted operations. We have carried out raids, patrols and inspections to crack down on crime, make changes to the physical environment to help design out anti-social behaviour and to gather intelligence.
