Planning application submitted for 100% shared ownership scheme

Blackhorse Yard view from Sutherland Road

Blackhorse Yard was the former Webbs Industrial site and is the first development brought forward by the Mayor of London together with Waltham Forest Council, to be a 100 per cent affordable homes scheme and local residents will have the first opportunity to apply when the scheme is completed.

The development includes:

  • 359 affordable homes 100 per cent for shared ownership that is genuinely affordable for local residents
  • 2,962 sqm (GEA) of retail, flexible workspace, artists’ studios as well as other amenities
  • public spaces that connect Blackhorse Lane and Sutherland Road, improving connections through the neighbourhood

The support from the Mayor and the Greater London Authority will help provide new homes and a range of new facilities for local people in the Blackhorse Lane area. These include working with the Council to provide a proposed health centre, new leisure and shopping facilities, Walthamstow Wetlands and Willowfields Humanities College, which demonstrates our commitment to make our borough a better place to work, a better place to live and a better place to grow.
