This is a busy junction where the Council wishes to work with residents and businesses to make it a more attractive place to shop and spend time.
The proposals include:
- possible improvements to shop fronts
- business support advice
- training for traders
- marketing campaign for local shops
- a survey of shoppers to see what they want from retailers
- murals to reflect the identity of Markhouse Corner
- street lighting improvement
The consultation ends on Sunday 18 November.
As well as the online consultation there have been two opportunities to meet council officers at the junction of Markhouse Road with Lea Bridge Road and Church Road to discuss the scheme.
