Walthamstow Supernova is the winner

Walthamstoiw Supernova

In September 230 residents booked free tickets to hear six presentations from designers and architects who introduced their ideas for how to improve the Rosebank Villas route into Walthamstow High Street.

Those attending gave most votes to the concept put forward by Ed Crooks. The panel, choosing the concept to follow up, agreed that the Walthamstow Supernova concept put forward by Ed Crooks would now be developed into a detailed design before being implemented. The £2,000 prize money is a fixed fee to support Ed Crooks in researching the materials, colour scheme and installation process working together with Matter Architecture so that the proposal forms an integral part of the improvements to Walthamstow High Street and market.

Work will begin on site in spring 2019 following the Borough of Culture launch in January.
