Welcome to the Forest will mark the start of our London Borough of Culture programme as the community co-creates an incredible opening show for Waltham Forest

Mercury Award-winning local hero Talvin Singh will lead a stellar cast of artists in a unique collaboration the communities and individuals of Waltham Forest for the opening event in January 2019, to kickstart Waltham Forest's tenure as the first London Borough of Culture.

Got a great idea for activity in 2019? We’d love to find out more and talk to you about how we can support you to make it happen in Waltham Forest

The Fellowship Funding scheme will invest over £500,000 in artists and organisations, to create locally relevant, ambitious, cultural activity right across the borough during Waltham Forest's year as the very first Mayor's London Borough of Culture. 

The first rounds for Make it Happen and Make it Work grants will open for applications on Monday 10 September. Read more about Fellowship Funding here

We are looking for local musicians to work with acclaimed artists Addictive TV to create a special video celebrating the rich musical diversity of Waltham Forest as part of the opening event Welcome to the Forest in January 2019.

Support the next generation of Creative Entrepreneurs

The Agency is looking for local cultural, creative or community organisations to help deliver a creative entreneurship programme as part of London Borough of Culture 2019. Apply to take part by 6pm Friday 14 September.
