Child Development, Neurodivergence and the Whole School Approach to emotional and mental wellbeing

We are looking for practitioners and key partners to co-construct a new professional learning programme. Participants must be available for 2 days a week during the Spring term with both supply costs and any travel expenses provided. Personalised Assessments

Personalised Assessments are mandatory in 2024 to 2025 but there is no specific ‘window’ for using them. Schools have the flexibility to schedule the personalised assessments at any point during the academic year that they consider is most beneficial to inform learning, teaching and progression planning.

New foreign language teachers to be trained by The Open University in Wales

Beginning in September 2025, The Open University in Wales will offer modern foreign languages as a new secondary subject on the post-graduate certificate in education (PGCE). Students on the two-year PGCE programme can study for the certificate with modern foreign languages as a secondary subject. Programme graduates receive full qualified teacher status (QTS), allowing them to teach in a school.
