School-age Speech, Language and Communication (SLC) Training Pathway
2 or 3 two-hour workshops held over October and November.
We are looking for school leaders, teachers and teaching assistants to help develop a training pathway. The pathway will enable practitioners working with learners aged 5 to 16 to identify their training needs to promote SLC skills and identify learners needing access to support. The assessment arrangements can help you plan and undertake initial and ongoing assessments. Supporting learner progression: assessment guidance advises schools and settings on effective assessment arrangements and classroom practice.
Following the launch of new endorsement arrangements to quality assure professional learning provision in Wales earlier this year, the Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) Induction Programme is the first national programme to receive endorsed status. The endorsement process is currently in its pilot phase. The next endorsement round will open later this term.
Applications now open for the new NPQH programme and Leadership Coach roles.
Personalised assessments
- The personalised assessments system is available for headteachers and data owners to log on and accept the data agreement for the new school year so that teachers can access previous reports and schedule new assessments. The system will be available to run assessments from Monday 16 September 2024.
