Sustainability Conference

Join the Food and Drink Wales Sustainability Conference on Wednesday 3 July 2024 to explore key consumer insights and sustainability's role in boosting business.

This Welsh Government conference will be delivered by the Food and Drink Wales Sustainability Cluster in collaboration with the Food and Drink Wales Insight Programme, will include an interactive mix of activities and networking opportunities with the aim of raising business knowledge across market insights, consumer trends and retailer Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The event will also showcase the Welsh Government’s commitment to drive improved sustainability performance in the Welsh food and drink industry as well as to promote the sustainability achievements of Welsh food and drink businesses.

Food and Drink Wales Industry Board: update from the Chair (June 2024)

It is a great honour to be elected as Chair of the Food and Drink Wales Industry Board (FDWIB) and I am equally delighted to have Alison Lea-Wilson as Vice Chair of the board. Having spent over 40 years in the sector, with all but three of those years being spent in Wales, I am only too aware of the ever-changing demands and challenges that food and drink manufacturing companies face on a daily basis. I have been lucky enough to work in a wide range of product categories, which has afforded me the opportunity to understand the diversity and complexity associated with the vast range of raw materials and processes that are essential to our sector.

Funding competition - Mid and North Wales Launchpad: Cluster Management

UK registered organisations can apply for up to £150,000 for a project to develop and manage the agri-tech and food technology innovation cluster in Mid and North Wales.

Funding competition - New Innovators in agri-tech & food technology, Mid & North Wales

UK registered small and micro businesses can apply for a share of up to £400,000 for projects that grow their innovation activities in the agri-tech and food technology cluster in Mid and North Wales.
