The Welsh Government is conducting a survey of learners aged 16-24 to understand the ongoing impact of Covid-19 and other factors on their education. The survey, available online, will help identify learner’s support needs and ensure the provision of effective and targeted help.

A process to endorse professional learning provision is currently being piloted in Wales. Led by a panel of educational professionals, including teachers and senior leaders, this new process will ensure that all education practitioners can access high-quality provision to support their continuous development. Further information, including the criteria for endorsement and application process, can now be found on Hwb.
Started an ITE Programme in 2022?
If you are eligible for an ITE Priority Subject incentive or Ethnic Minority ITE incentive on completion of your induction, the process has changed. Please read the updated guidance Priority Subject Incentive; Ethnic Minority Incentive to claim payment. This must be claimed within 1 year of achieving induction.

Reading pilot - Would your school like to influence the development of the Personalised Assessments? It will count towards your statutory use of the Personalised Assessments so it means no additional work.

Summer term assessments - If your school hasn’t used personalised assessments yet this year, please start planning and using them early this term. Schedule and run your assessments now and use the information to support teaching and learning. The Personalised assessments administration handbook 2023 to 2024 sets out the requirements for this school year.

To help you to engage your students with the ‘Securing a Sustainable Future’ consultation, the Welsh Government has released an 'easy-read’ version. The key parts of the consultation are: Putting environmental principles into law, establishing an environmental governance body, and establishing legal targets to stop nature loss.
