£500,000 to help lower income families attend the National Eisteddfod and Urdd Eisteddfod

The Minister for Education and Welsh Language has today announced additional funding of half a million pounds for the National Eisteddfod and the Urdd Eisteddfod, to make this year's festivals accessible to lower income families.

New Resource: Financial Education Toolkit

This toolkit provides ideas for designing a purposeful financial literacy offer as part of your curriculum.  It complements the Money and Pensions Service: Financial education supporting material for schools in Wales which provides useful prompts to consider your curriculum journey and what you might do next, and aims to help reinforce the culture and aspiration of Curriculum for Wales to involve parents, carers and the wider community.

Register for a session to support school and college Additional Learning Needs Coordinators and local authority post-16 officers to consider ways of improving transition success for learners with ALN.

Invitation to join a focus group on the 14 to 16 learning guidance

Alongside the formal consultation, Miller Research has been commissioned to conduct focussed research with Wales’ secondary school workforce, including all of those who work with 14 to 16 year-olds in whatever way they do. Practitioner views will help Welsh Government understand the potential impact of the guidance and you are invited to share your views in one of two online focus groups; Thursday 11 April 4-5pm or Tuesday 16 April 4-5pm.
