The Deputy Minister for Social Services, Julie Morgan, has marked Carers Rights Day on 23rd November by praising the important role of unpaid carers in communities across Wales and highlighting the support available to them.

Children and young people in Wales have until now only been able to choose between High Tech Communication Aids with English and Scottish accents, and adult version Welsh language voices.

Food programme

Record number of food businesses achieving top hygiene ratings across Wales as mandatory display turns 10

In 2013, Wales became the first country in the UK to make it a legal requirement to display hygiene rating stickers in prominent places, like front doors and windows of food businesses.

In January the First Minister announced the Welsh Government would fund up to 140 students a year at the facility, and the first 80 are due to start in September next year.

The Welsh Government has agreed funding of up to £29.4m for a new Orthopaedic hub at Llandudno Hospital to help reduce orthopaedic waiting times.
