Now in its 18th year, Summer School is back as a live, residential event!
26 – 30 June 2023
Summer School is an intensive residential learning experience bringing together leaders and managers to address key issues on a specific leadership topic. The programme will include several UK based and international speakers who are academics or experts in their chosen field.
The theme of this year's Summer School is 'Supporting leaders today to create a brighter tomorrow for Welsh Public Services – a celebration of 10 years'.
Set in the beautiful Nant Gwrtheyrn, North Wales, this year’s Winter School took place from 7 - 10 February. Winter School featured a programme of learning tailored to delegates’ leadership and development needs, providing access to internationally renowned speakers and academics who shared their knowledge and expertise.
This interactive, ‘bite-size’ workshop will be ideal if you’re preparing for, or are in, your first leadership and management role.
You will be introduced to key principles and practices that will help grow and enable your ability to influence teams and lead change. In an ever-changing and uncertain world, this workshop will also develop your self-awareness and help you achieve constancy as you strive to be an authentic and exemplary leader.
The aim of this session is to help you to understand what emotional intelligence is and how it impacts on your everyday life. We take time to look at beliefs, behaviour, and feelings before exploring the emotional intelligence competencies.
Humans have tended in recent years to become more biased towards a cognitive way of interpreting the world, relying on logic and rationality as a means for making sense of what they see, experience, and develop knowledge from.
This has led to a ‘dumbing down’ of our other innate creative abilities that we all have access to and often fail to recognise, let alone tap into, on a regular basis. This session provides an exploration into these abilities.
If you are a dynamic and courageous senior leader, determined to have a wider impact by leading and driving change within a culture of trust and compassion, then the Senior Leadership Experience is for you.
The Experience combines diagnostics with personal development feedback and discussion, offering support and challenge in a comprehensive coaching session to deepen personal reflection and learning transfer.
