Visit Wales announces Llwybrau / Wales by Trails. Which trail will you choose in 2023?

Visit Wales is inviting visitors and the people of Wales to be a trail taker and curate their own epic trails in Wales during 2023.

Wales, by Trails picks up from the success of Visit Wales’ five themed years to date - adventure, legends, sea, discovery, outdoors. The themed years support the strategic aim of spread, spend and seasonality by presenting Wales as a welcoming, inclusive destination open all year round.

Trails as a theme is experience-led and simple enough to cater for a wide range of interest within the UK and internationally. It’s also flexible enough for partners, destinations, and tourism businesses large or small to get on board and support.

In a post-pandemic world, research shows people are seeking curated experiences that reconnect them, be that to heritage, culture, nature, community.

The Llwybrau campaign went live from 9 January on TV across the UK and in-Wales, supported by an integrated digital campaign on all major platforms as well as Out of Home advertising at key London underground stations and the iconic Waterloo Motion screen. There is new and refreshed content online on Visit Wales and a new film: Experience Wales by Trails.

The 'Llwybrau. Wales, by Trails' industry guide is availablealong with a logo, logo guidance and high-quality images, for industry partners to download and use for “Llwybrau. Wales, by Trails” marketing. Take a look and download them on Assets: Llwybrau | Visit Wales.

Hot tub safety webinars and toolkit for accommodation providers

In recent years consumer demand has brought about a significant increase in the number of holiday lets which now include hot tubs.

The running and use of a hot tub in guest accommodation can bring about some challenges and owners need to do their research and be fully aware of their responsibilities.

These resources have been developed by the Heart of the South West Better Business for All Partnership with help from the Professional Association of Self-Caterers UK and funded by the Office for Products Safety & Standards.

They have created five mini webinars and a toolkit to help accommodation providers to understand the steps required to ensure the hot tub environment is safe for guests and for owners, staff and contractors who maintain hot tubs.
