Reminder - last orders for LFTs
In line with Wales’ long-term COVID-19 transition from pandemic to endemic plan, the routine asymptomatic testing offer for school staff and secondary aged learners will cease at the end of this term.
In order to manage appropriate stock levels, last orders must be placed via the usual process before 3pm Tuesday 22 March. Orders placed after this time will not be processed.
Special education settings and dedicated units will continue to be able to order and distribute test kits through the normal process.
Schools should use any current stock they may have before ordering further test kits. If you have any concerns about stock levels please get in touch with eduandcctesting@gov.wales

The Tertiary Education and Research (Wales) Bill will bring together the funding, oversight and regulation of post-16 education under one body – the Commission for Tertiary Education and Research.

Learners aged 16+ must register to vote in local government elections by 14 April. A National Voter Registration Day (24 March) will bring together people from our national sports teams, schools, colleges, and communities to encourage young people to vote and to make a difference to the future of Wales. We are all currently exercised and distressed by the ongoing situation in the Ukraine and we know from experience that children and young people are often very aware of what is going on in the wider world. How do we speak to them about the current conflict and support them in critically understanding the background to it? The WCIA has produced a web-page here, blog and a list of suggested resources. Remember that you can use the reports generated by the personalised assessment system to help with planning for progression. The webinars on the system will help you refresh your knowledge of the assessments and how to use the information in the reports.
