Together, we can keep Wales safe

Welsh Government has launched the “Together” phase of the Keep Wales Safe campaign.

The new adverts encourage people to:

  • Get vaccinated
  • Keep up the good work and
  • Look out for each other

So that “Together, we can keep Wales safe”. You can watch the TV advert here.

Attractions opportunity - National Lottery Days out campaign

Visit Britain is coordinating a new campaign (on behalf of Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland). The National Lottery Days Out campaign is specific to attractions and if on the Good to Go database, your business should have already received an email giving further information and the chance to opt in to the activity.

More on the initiative can be found on this link: Join the National Lottery Days Out campaign | VisitBritain and there are detailed Campaign FAQs that include the process of joining the campaign and the platform being used to deliver the voucher scheme. Having read the above, if you wish to take part, all you need to do is express interest by emailing daysoutcampaign@visitbritain.org

In summary, any Wales based attractions with paid admission fees are able to apply to take part but will also need to:

  • Be bookable online (or be willing to be)
  • Have availability during the campaign period from October into early 2022
  • Agree to the TXGB and VisitBritainShop terms and condition
  • Be signed-up to the COVID-19 industry standard ‘We’re Good to Go’

Webinar: International Consumer Tracker Survey results – Wave 3

Join us on Wednesday 13 October 11am to 12.30pm for a session reviewing the latest data on international consumer sentiment from the international consumer tracker survey undertaken by Visit Britain and Visit Wales in August and September. 

This session will give you insights focusing on inbound markets and recovery, registration now open via the VisitBritain website.


COVID-19 UK Tourism Consumer Tracker Survey

The latest report on consumer sentiment and trip intentions from the UK market is available on the VisitBritain website reporting on fieldwork undertaken 23 – 27 August leading up to the August bank holiday weekend. Results show 22% of UK adults plan on taking an overnight trip this Autumn, 1 in 10 of whom plan to visit Wales. The majority of autumn trip intenders have yet to plan or book their trip, and there has been a notable shift in demand towards visiting ‘a city or large town’.


How To Close Your Gender Pay Gap – Digital Event

The extended deadline for reporting Gender Pay Gap data is fast approaching, with all companies with over 250 employees required to report their data by 4 October 2021.

This digital event takes place from 1pm to 2pm on 13 September 2021 and provides the opportunity to hear directly from business leaders on the benefits of gender pay gap action planning.

Appeal to North Wales Firms to Donate Redundant IT Kit

North Wales Digital Drive are a not-for-profit social enterprise (also termed a Community Interest Company) and the only treatment centre of this kind in North Wales, offering secure and professional recycling, re-use and disposal services for all IT equipment.

The social enterprise has provided equipment to organisations across North Wales and needs more businesses and public sector bodies to help them out so they can keep up with the demand.

St David Awards 2022

The St David Awards are the national awards of Wales and recognise and celebrate the exceptional achievements of people from all walks of life in Wales and abroad. The deadline for submitting nominations is 21 October 2021.
