Over £50 million to support Welsh universities, colleges and students

The support is part of the Welsh Government’s actions to support students and Wales’ major education institutions and provide the skills and learning in response to the economic impact of the coronavirus.

Iaith Athrawon Yfory Incentive claim: deadline 31 August 2020

Did you study to teach through the medium of Welsh in academic year 2018/19? Eligible teachers that gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at the end of academic year 2018/19 can claim the first part of the Iaith Athrawon Yfory Incentive (AY18/19) worth up to £3000. Please check for eligibility. Additional information can be requested from ITEIncentives@gov.wales

Remember that the Discovery Diaries are available in Welsh. These innovative primary education programmes, starring ESA Astronaut Tim Peake, use arts-based methods to engage learners in STEM. With the support of the Welsh Government, the UK Space Agency and the Science and Technology Facilities Council these are available freely to schools with no login required.
