Procurement News from the National Procurement Service and Value Wales

March 2020 • Issue 025

PPE requirements

The Welsh Government is working closely with business and industry to get supplies of critical equipment including cleaning products and PPE to front line workers facing shortages during the COVID-19 outbreak.

We are co-ordinating the distribution of equipment across Wales and working with suppliers to identify where additional equipment can be sourced. For more information and to let us know your requirements, please visit our website.

Procurement Policy Notes

The UK Government has published two urgent PPNs responding to the COVID-19 outbreak. Both PPNs are being adopted by the Welsh Government and we encourage the Welsh public sector to do the same.

They are available here and here.

COVID-19 communications

We will not issue the regular monthly NPS and Value Wales newsletter during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. Instead, we will communicate any urgent information on the virus and its impact upon procurement or our activities through the newsletter when required. We hope that by doing that we will be able to get important information to you more quickly.

If any of your colleagues would like to be added to the distribution, they can request to subscribe here.

If you have suggestions for content or any questions do not hesitate to contact us: COVID-19.Procurement@gov.wales
