£280 million invested in North Wales schools – with more to come

The Welsh Government has invested £280m to modernise schools in North Wales, First Minister Mark Drakeford said today as he opened two of the newest schemes to be completed.

Personalised Assessments: Reminder

All learners in years 2-9 are required to take a Numeracy (Procedural) Personalised Assessment before the end of term.  Schools are required to schedule the personalised assessments at least one day before the assessment.

National Reading and Numeracy Tests

National Test Results 

The National Reading and Numeracy Test results for 2019 are now available for primary and secondary schools to download along with a guidance for practitioners which may be helpful to use when discussing test outcomes with parents/carers.

We have produced a short animation to talk parents/carers through the National Reading and Numeracy Test reports. A link to the animation is included on the pupil results sheet, but you may wish to share the link on your school’s website.

Secondary: Tuesday 21/04/2020 – Tuesday 05/05/2020

Primary: Tuesday 28/04/2020 – Tuesday 05/05/2020

£250,000 Supporting Service Children in Education - Wales Fund 2019-20

Schools are again invited to bid for funding from a £250,000 fund to help mitigate effects of Armed Forces life including mobility or deployment of AF families on schools and their learners. The Fund is administered by the Supporting Service.  Children in Education (SSCE) Cymru Project.
