New tools to manage your product listing and providing better images and information about your business

We have refreshed the design of visitwales.com including adding new content and you can expect to see continual improvements and bug fixes being made to the website over the coming months.

As part of that process our main focus now is to significantly improve both the information we provide about accommodation providers, attractions, activities and events as well as the way people can search for and find this information on visitwales.com.

If you operate an accommodation, attraction or activity business or run events, we want to make it easier for you to manage your product listing and we will be launching a new set of tools to help you do that, including enhanced telephone support.

Specifically you will be able to provide the following using the new management tools ahead of this information and content going live on visitwales.com in early July:

  • Higher quality images
  • Links to video on YouTube
  • Links to your social media e.g. facebook, Instagram, twitter and more
  • Links to your preferred booking channel
  • Translated content for German and in-Wales markets

If your business is not currently listed on the website and you want to be included, please visit our Working with Visit Wales page for further information and details of the specific criteria that applies – you will also find contact details should you need support.

Our next steps:

  • Emails will go out to all businesses currently on visitwales.com asking you to activate your account on the new product listing tool alongside supporting guidance about how to do that and where to get help. Note – if you currently use Guestlink to manage your product listing on visitwales.com you will get a similar email from them directly.
  • Late June onwards – we’re putting in place extra advice and guidance for those that may need it – eg. guides you can download, drop in sessions and industry briefings.
  • Early July - the new product pages with bigger and better images and more information about your business will go live, alongside improved search functionality to make product information more visible and drive more customer enquiries.

Most importantly, make sure you look out for the account activation email in the coming weeks.
