Pupil Development Grant

Pupils who are eligible for free schools meals or are looked after could receive £125 to buy school uniform, equipment, sports kit and kit for activities outside of school if they are entering reception class in primary school; entering year 7 in secondary school; or aged 4 or 11 in special schools, special needs resource bases or pupil referral units.

Sing Loud, Sing Proud

Over 200 children from over 20 schools across the South Wales Valleys, will take to the airwaves, with the release of “Sing it Loud, Sing it Proud”, a song written by Welsh singer songwriter Kizzy Crawford, in partnership with local school children.

Kirsty Williams confirms EU student funding guarantee for Welsh universities

This is a continuation of the Welsh Government’s current policy and means that students will be eligible to receive support until they finish their course.

Take part in our online safety survey for Wales

The Welsh Government, on behalf of Welsh Ministers, aims to help protect children and young people from illegal and harmful content on the internet and to promote safe, responsible and considerate behaviour online.

This important survey is available to all educational practitioners and education professionals for optional completion from June 27 to July 20 2018.

Health Secretary Vaughan Gething has today announced plans for the expansion of medical education across Wales, including new opportunities to study in north Wales.
