Following the publication of Regional Investment in Wales after Brexit policy paper, a range of engagement activities with
partners and stakeholders took place between December 2017 and March 2018 to seek views on the paper's ideas and proposals.
An independently produced summary report of findings was published on 2 July (link).
The Welsh Government will now reflect on those findings over the summer to help set out the next steps for development of a new regional investment policy after Brexit.
Construction work to prepare an employment and housing site in Ty Du, Nelson, Caerphilly is being funded by £4m of investment from Welsh Government including £2.5m of EU funds. The work is expected to be completed by mid 2019.

The European Commission has published its proposal for Horizon Europe, the successor to Horizon 2020. The document and further information on the new programme can be found here (link).
The Welsh Government wants the UK Government to retain full access to European programmes including Horizon 2020 after Brexit, given their benefits of international co-operation, sharing best practice and promoting Wales to the world (link).
