‘Don’t be a Bystander’ campaign aims to show how powerful a positive
intervention can be for someone who is experiencing or who has experienced
violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence.
This
multi-media campaign includes a film, radio, digital and social media.
The
latest bulletin covers:
- key stage 4 performance measures - announcement on future changes and 2018 arrangements,
- the contribution of the Advance Subsidiary (AS) qualification in
performance measures,
- developing consistent performance measures for the post-16
sector, and
- the Key Stage 4 cohort – pupils repeating year 11.
Free to attend, SkillsCymru are Wales’
largest careers, skills and apprenticeship events. Taking place in Cardiff and
Llandudno on 10 & 11 and 17 & 18 October, these highly interactive
events provide young people with the opportunity to discover their potential.

Hwb User Management Portal
The new Hwb User Management Portal is now available for
users in beta release. A link to the portal is available in the Hwb tools
waffle. User guides for the portal can be found here.
Please note this is a beta release of the Hwb User
Management Portal. We are still in a transition period and as such certain
features such as changes to user details are not currently fully deployed. Our Hwb help and support
area contains key user information and timescales for these features
to be enabled.
From 22 - 24 June, The Great Get Together will be taking place across the country, and we’re asking schools to take part with a special assembly on Friday 22nd June.
Resources are now available to download on the schools page of The Great Get Together website.
All of the My Money
Week 2018 resources and materials are now live and available for schools to
access and download.
Secondary students will consider mobile phones, insurance
and risk by making decisions on behalf of the young people featured in the
videos.
This event will include an
introduction to the Quality Assessment Framework and the potential challenges
faced by the sector in implementing the Framework.
The Centre of
Excellence programme recognises and rewards schools who are committing to,
developing and continuing excellence in financial education in their own school
and beyond.
Information on how to register to vote and
guidance to prospective candidates on how to stand for election is now
available online.
In 2020, Coleg
Gwent’s new Torfaen post 16 education centre will be the home of all A Level
education in Torfaen, offering the Welsh Baccalaureate and a range of level 2
and 3 qualifications. We’re looking for suggestions for the new name of the
centre from you.
