The third evaluation of the Pupil
Development (previously Deprivation) Grant was published on 13 December. The

Education Reform Timeline and Digital Competence Framework - wall charts
Wall charts for Education Reform and the Digital Competence Framework have been sent to schools this week so please keep a look out for them. These have been designed to share on your staffroom walls and notice boards.
£500,000
has been awarded to 22 new projects to deliver new Welsh-medium educational
resources, the Cabinet Secretary Education, Kirsty Williams and the Minister
for Welsh Language and Lifelong Learning Eluned Morgan have announced.
Resource has been successfully piloted by
Carers Trust Wales in 8 schools and includes practical tools to improve the
identification of learners with caring responsibilities and the provision of
appropriate support.

Qualifications Wales has published a report on the revised Essential
Skills qualifications following an extensive review.
Several positive findings emerged from the review; however, there were
also challenges that are impacting on the successful implementation of the
qualifications. As a result, Qualifications Wales has published an action plan
to address the concerns.
As part of its review into GCSEs, A levels and vocational
qualifications in ICT, Qualifications Wales is asking teachers, learners and
those with an interest in ICT qualifications in Wales to take part in a short
survey.
The survey closes on Friday

Social Care and Children’s Care to work on a new series of Level 1/2 to Level 5
