This edition of Advances Wales has a focus on life sciences, with news and articles on developments in Welsh medical research, health technology and biotechnology.

Improving nutritional composition of food and drink for children

The Welsh Government has launched a competition for businesses to develop innovative solutions which can significantly improve the nutritional composition of food and drink available to school children whilst driving down cost.

Up to six businesses will be in line for up to £50,000 in phase one. The two best projects will get up to a further £350,000, adding up to a total pot of £1 million.
