and Torfaen are invited to attend a FREE event on how to enrich learning and
introduce more experiential learning into your school.
The short day will include three elements:
sharing best practice and ideas from other schools, a keynote speech from
Professor Colin Beard from Sheffield Business School

for Action consultation
is live. These proposals are aimed at improving outcomes for learners
accessing education otherwise than at school provision. To support this
consultation, events are being held on the 14

Queen’s 2018 Birthday Honours list –
Nominations Now Open!
The
Education and Public Services Group are inviting nominations for the Queen’s
2018 Birthday
list. If you know of any deserving
people who work in the Education, Local Government, Communities, Tackling Poverty, Housing and Regeneration
sectors who have demonstrated exceptional achievement or service, then please
submit your nomination by 28/07/2017. Email for further information and forms.

closing for the Apprenticeship Awards Cymru at 12 noon on 23 June 2017. These prestigious
awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals, employers and

development of our Traineeship and Apprenticeship programme.

Youth Work Week is an
annual event that provides youth work organisations and young people with the
opportunity to celebrate the achievements and impacts of youth work. Numerous events and activities will be
taking place across Wales with the week being launched at the Youth Work
Excellence Awards Evening in Cardiff on 23 June.

19th June marks the start of Refugee Week. Global Learning Programme-Wales offers resources
to help your school to celebrate the contribution that refugees make to our
country, and to encourage pupils to explore the complex issues of migration and
interdependence.
FMSP Wales is
looking for experienced and enthusiastic mathematics teachers, lecturers and
postgraduate students to help develop and deliver an exciting new A-level
Mathematics enrichment programme for Wales’ most promising
mathematicians. Please email your brief CV and a short outline of your experience

The NNEM is keen to recruit enthusiastic and reflective individuals from
all phases of mathematics education as practitioner researchers. If you are

GTP is an employment based route into teaching in Wales. If you have been or
are currently a GTP trainee or stakeholder (school, consortia or HEI) the Welsh
Government would like to hear your views:

Centres, learners, and other stakeholders have just
two weeks left to take part in a consultation on Qualifications Wales’s
regulatory outcomes and the mapping of Conditions. This work helps ensure their
regulatory activities focus on learners and the qualification system in Wales.
Money Advice Service –
Teachers Outcomes Framework
The Money Advice Service has
developed a series of
outcomes frameworks and measurement tools to help provide a standardised
way of measuring the impact of financial education. This includes a Teachers
Outcomes Framework, which identifies the key outcomes and indicators that
will help enhance teachers skills, knowledge and understanding to drive their
effectiveness of teaching financial education in the classroom.
