Every council in Wales is to receive an extra £10,000 to buy musical instruments for pupils, Education Secretary Kirsty Williams has announced.

Qualifications Wales is looking to commission subject
experts with knowledge, understanding and experience of teaching and/or
assessment for certain subjects.
Digital Pioneers have developed a new mapping
tool for the Digital Competence Framework (DCF). It enables schools to
cross-reference current teaching in subjects and years with elements of the DCF
to show levels of DCF coverage, helping them plan to cover the full range of
skills within each element over the course of a year. The tool will also help
schools to spread DCF coverage more evenly across the school.

This short
questionnaire will test how well the site is organised and

with the text to speech software company IVONA, with financial assistance from
the Welsh Government. The voices of Geraint a Gwyneth are useful for screen
reading and reading websites and documents out aloud.
This
free app includes the Welsh standardised educational term dictionary Termiadur
Addysg. It’s available for Apple iOS, Android mobile and Kindle. Even when
you’re not online, you can check and translate thousands of the English and
Welsh words you’re likely to need for your school work and homework.
