45 young people from across Wales have brought home medals from the largest UK-wide skills competition, Worldskills UK.
Wales topped the leader board celebrating a clutch of 45 medals including 11 gold, 17 silver, 14 bronze and 3 highly commended at the final, which took place at the prestigious Skills Show in Birmingham from 17 to 19 November.
Wales’ Skills and Science Minister, Julie James, is pleased to announce that a project to improve the skills and job prospects of young people is being extended into East Wales thanks to an additional £1million EU funding boost.

published in 2015 and it was identified through engagement with stakeholders that
there was a need for consistent safeguarding learning tools to help embed the
guidance. The modules are for all staff within an educational setting. The modules are made available by accessing the PLAYLIST. No Hwb login

Online dictionaries for GCSE students. The dictionaries contain a section on verbs
as well as crosswords, wordsearches and hangman games. All the resources are
available now on Hwb!

IPLC Canada- Modern Foreign Languages
Applications now open!
The Welsh
Government’s Global Futures Plan, launched in June 2015, aimed to address the
steady decline of the number of pupils in Wales studying Modern Foreign Languages
at GCSE level. The 2017 IPLC visit to Canada, in conjunction with British
Council Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Education, aims to explore
innovations in MFL teaching and strategies for engaging pupils in Wales with
MFL learning.
