National Reading and Numeracy Tests Ordering System

Schools will be able to order test papers when the order system goes live on 31 October 2016 to 25 November 2016. Schools should be aware that this is a shorter ordering period than in previous years.

Draft Welsh Language Strategy Consultation

During this year’s National Eisteddfod, the First Minister and the Minister for Lifelong Learning and Welsh Language published a consultation on their vision for reaching a million Welsh speakers by the year 2050. As part of the consultation, the Welsh Government truly wish to hear the opinions of pupils in schools all across Wales on our proposals. You can use the resources on our #Cymraeg2050 - Young People website to help your pupils be a part of shaping the future of the Welsh language.

CERN teacher placement 7 – 11 February 2017

Expressions of interest are invited to recruit secondary school teachers to visit CERN, for this once in a lifetime experience that will enrich you and your students. A free and confidential advice and support service for children and young people, or those who care for them, if they feel a child is being treated.

Children’s Commissioner for Wales Student Ambassadors

All secondary schools can get involved with the Commissioner’s work to promote the rights of young people in Wales with the free Student Ambassador scheme.  Pupils have engaging opportunities to learn about their rights and inform the Commissioner about their views
