Changes or amendments to your SAF 2016

You should notify Rural Payments Wales (RPW) if your SAF is incorrect or has become incorrect since it was submitted.  The information you give will be used to amend your SAF, which may reduce penalties, that could be applied to your payments.  However, penalties may still be applied if you have already been notified by RPW of this error in your SAF or if you have been notified of an inspection.  This provision cannot be used to increase your claim.

Glastir Woodland Creation: Expression of Interest

The Cabinet Secretary for the Environment and Rural Affairs has agreed to a further Expression of Interest window for Glastir Woodland Creation. It will open on 30th August 2016 and will close at midnight on 14th October 2016.

Glastir Woodland Restoration: Expression of Interest

The Cabinet Secretary for the Environment and Rural Affairs has agreed to a further Expression of Interest window for Glastir Woodland Restoration. It will open on 30th August 2016 and will close on 30th September 2016.

Sustainable Production Grant Scheme: Expression of Interest 

The Sustainable Production Grant (SPG) Scheme is a capital grant support package aimed at farmers in Wales. The Expression of Interest window opens on 5th September 2016.

Rural Community Development Fund: Expression of Interest

Grants which are primarily aimed at LEADER Local Action Groups and other community-based organisations. The grants will offer a wide range of interventions designed to prevent and mitigate the impact of poverty in rural communities improving conditions which can lead to future jobs and growth. The Expression of Interest window opens on 5th September 2016.

Landlords are reminded of the need to register with Rent Smart Wales

The law in Wales now requires private landlords to register themselves and their properties with Rent Smart Wales.

Waste Exemptions for Farmers

All farmers in Wales who have waste on their land have three months to register or renew an exemption with Natural Resources Wales (NRW). This ensures waste is dealt with in a way that does not cause harm to people or the environment. Not registering or complying with waste exemption can lead to farmers facing penalties.
