Thousands of young people across Wales will be opening those all-important envelopes this week to see their results and many may be wondering what their next steps will be. Vocational routes, like apprenticeships, can give a solid grounding for exciting and rewarding careers. The Apprenticeship Programme, supported by the Welsh Government and the European Social Fund, is a great way for individuals to gain recognised qualifications and essential skills, while earning a wage. The Apprenticeship Awards takes place on 20 October at Venue Cymru, Llandudno, and recognises the achievements of individuals, employers and providers across Wales.

The FMSP Wales received further funding to expand its activities into new areas and is seeking to appoint experienced Further Mathematics teachers as Area Coordinators to cover mid-Wales, North Wales and South East and South Central Wales. Three full time posts are available, each can be a job share.
The National Assembly for Wales’ Children, Young People and Education Committee is undertaking an inquiry into Youth Work and want to know what young people think about Youth Services in Wales.
The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete and young people can have their views heard via the link.
