Hwb+ Upgrade

As part of the ongoing developments of schools Hwb+ sites, all 1600+ school sites in Wales will be upgraded over the Summer holidays

The upgrade will see the entire Hwb+ platform, including public facing websites, migrated from the current SharePoint 2010 infrastructure to SharePoint 2013.

As this is a whole platform upgrade all Hwb+ sites will remain accessible but in read only mode from Friday 22 July.

All migrated sites and content will be released by Thursday 1 September.

Hwb+ and the new academic year

To ensure your Hwb+ site is updated with users, classes and subjects for the new academic year, a “rollover” process takes place.  In most cases your local authority will be managing the process and there should be very little admin required in school. More information and guidance can be found on Hwb. However, if you are experiencing any issues please contact the Hwb+ support desk on 029 2099 0200 or e-mail supportdesk@hwbsupport.net
