Tips from our Quality Adviser team
With Easter just around the corner, now’s the perfect time to check a few basic details and get yourselves ready and prepared for the season ahead. Louise Garrett is part of our team of Quality Advisers. Louise has been visiting and grading accommodation businesses and visitor attractions for over 10 years so knows a thing or two about quality.
Here are Louise’s top tips for taking care of the basics - they're small details, but so important to get right.
Check your recorded landline and mobile answerphone messages – are they up-to-date?

Divert landline calls to mobiles if you’re out and about and unable to answer calls, guests are unlikely to call back if the phone is left unanswered! |
Is your website up-to-date? Check your prices, availability, contact details and descriptions. |

Do you have up-to-date images on your website? So many businesses refurbish but forget to update their images online – this is so important. |
Would you like
some extra images to enhance your website?
We have thousands of Wales tourism images available for tourism
businesses to use, have a look at wales on view and contact us if you’d
like to use any.
Is your visitwales.com website listing up-to-date? Does it include the correct contact details, photos, links? If not, get it updated. Need help, or forgotten your user name and password to be able to update this yourself? No problem, contact your local data partner who can help.
The
visitwales website now has over four million people looking at it every year.
There are tens of thousands of searches for accommodation, attractions and
activities every month and there are thousands of leads provided to businesses
listed on the website every month. The amount of leads has grown by around 33%
year on year.
