There are now just two weeks to go before the Uttlesford Big Green Festival gets underway!
We look forward to seeing you at the next webinar for event hosts – this will be on Teams on Tuesday 26 May, starting at 7pm.
It will be the last chance to get together and a final check-in ahead of the festival week. We will also use it to go through the legacy support pack.
Meeting ID: 333 594 607 053 938
Passcode: sB6ZN62C
We have put together a support pack which contains resources to help you collect information about attendees at your events.
The idea is to capture legacy data and attendee feedback in a consistent way – this will help in the overall evaluation of the festival and, importantly, shape future events and local engagement.
The pack includes various data capturing forms, as well as materials to help promote the festival hashtag at your events. As a reminder, the festival hashtag is #UttlesfordBGF – please use and share this as much as possible in your social media activity.
Completed forms can be returned to climatechange@uttlesford.gov.uk or posted back to us at: Climate Team, Uttlesford District Council Offices, London Road, Saffron Walden CB11 4ER.
If you would like the pack in a different format or need any help in accessing or downloading it, please let us know.

The festival kicks off on Friday 5 June with an exciting launch event!
We will be celebrating all the community action that has has been happening on nature recovery and low carbon projects across the district.
The session will blend storytelling with reflection, showcasing what has been achieved, including through the Zero Carbon Communities Fund, while looking ahead to the next phase of local climate action.
We've got some fantastic speakers lined up, including a keynote by Simon Lyster, former Head of Conservation Policy at WWF, a strategic panel discussion chaired by Rich Yates of the Essex Wildlife Trust, and reflections by Tom Cameron who is Professor of Applied Ecology at University of Essex.
We would love all event hosts to come along – we would particularly value your input and reflections on your successes and challenges, and how we move forward to scale up local engagement.
Please share the event details to your groups and networks, and encourage everyone to attend. There will be drinks and nibbles available. We look forward to seeing you there!
