How community energy works?

Spans

Tuesday 29 July, 7pm to 9pm

Online webinar

Community energy is about local communities coming together to take ownership and control of renewable energy projects, like solar or wind farms, to generate, manage and ensure that the benefits from clean energy stay local.

The next Sustainable Uttlesford event will focus on exploring opportunities for community energy across the district.

This event is open to all – both existing community energy projects and those with no experience who may be thinking about starting a project or group.

The meeting will explore how to develop and fund local community renewable energy projects, including how to make sure the financial and environmental benefits stay within our communities.

Agenda:

  • What is community energy? – Kirsty Shanahan, Community Energy Pathways
  • Case studies
  • Community energy in Uttlesford/Essex Chris Dodge & Bob Burlton
  • Questions, answers & discussion

Join us to find out how to involve your community, develop projects, generate the funding and investment, reduce energy costs and support building community climate resilience.
