We have sent out the first batch of poll cards to voters today (6 June). If you have registered to vote in the last week, your poll card will be sent in the next batch of poll cards.
Your poll card will tell you where your designated polling station is.
Some polling stations may have changed since the last election – check your poll card to see where your polling station is when it arrives.
If you have a postal poll card, please check the ballot paper address to make sure this is correct.
Not all Uttlesford residents will vote for the new North West Essex constituency due to parliamentary constituencies boundary changes.
The main changes are:
- The district wards of Broad Oak and the Hallingburys and Hatfield Heath will come under the Harlow constituency
- The district wards of Felsted & Stebbing and The Sampfords will come under Braintree constituency.
The remaining parts of the district comprise the North West Essex constituency (formerly Saffron Walden) and take in four wards from Chelmsford.

We are currently reviewing the eligibility of all EU citizens who are registered to vote in Uttlesford following national changes to which elections they can vote in.
This follows the UK’s departure from the European Union and has been introduced as part of the Elections Act.
Letters are being issued to all EU citizens in the district to either:
- let them know they are still eligible to vote in local elections
- tell them they aren’t sure if they are eligible to vote in local elections, and ask them to provide information that will be used to confirm whether they are eligible
EU citizens cannot vote or stand as a candidate in UK Parliament elections.
