The Essex Business Adaptation Fund (EBAF) has re-opened for applications. The criteria has been updated and grants are also now available to small and medium businesses that do not have fixed property related costs.
Essex County Council have provided the funding for grants of up to £500, £1000 and £1,500 per business for expenses incurred after 15 October 2020.
The grants will support these businesses to carry out adjustments to enable them to continue to operate, improve their business and ensure the health and safety of staff and customers. Grants may also be used to develop new operating practices and diversify businesses in order to take advantage of new opportunities such as new click and collect, takeaway or delivery services.
⇒ Full details and eligibility criteria
The application window closes at 5pm on Thursday 14th January and grant monies must be spent by 12th February 2021.
It is recognised that there is insufficient funding available to cover all eligible businesses at the full grant value. Applications will therefore be considered in order of receipt, with grants awarded until the funding has been exhausted.
The Christmas Support Payment (CSP) is a one-off payment of £1000 to support 'wet-led' pubs through the festive period.
The payment is for the period 2 December to 29 December 2020, and is for pubs that predominantly serve alcohol rather than food. The pub must have been forced to close under local restrictions.
