Small Business & Retail, Hospitality and Leisure grant funds

The government has made two grants available to retail, hospitality and leisure businesses in response to the current coronavirus (Covid-19) situation.

There are two grant funding schemes:

  • £10,000 under the Small Business Grant Fund
  • Either £10,000 or £25,000 under the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant Fund

Small Business Grant Fund of £10,000

To be eligible for the grant, your property must have:

Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant of either £10,000 or £25,000

This fund is intended to support businesses across England in sectors that are being profoundly impacted by Covid-19 and which are crucial to local economies.

To be eligible for the grant, your property must have:

You will be entitled to one grant per property. Therefore businesses with multiple outlets would receive more than one grant and be paid:

  • £10,000 if your property has a rateable value of £15,000 or less
  • £25,000 if your rateable value is over £15,000 and less than £51,000

What you can't apply for

You can not apply for a grant:

  • For car parks and parking spaces
  • If your property is used for personal uses, e.g. private stables or personal storage
  • If the business was in liquidation or was dissolved on 11 March 2020
  • If the rateable value of the property is more than £50,999
