New on the SEND Local Offer
The Local Offer provides comprehensive information in a single location about the services and support available across education, health, and social care.
Following feedback from our parent carer groups, the Local Offer has undergone some exciting updates. These include the addition of a “New to SEND” section and an updated Glossary of Terms. We hope these enhancements will help users navigate the many acronyms used in SEND and guide them to discover relevant resources within the Local Offer or onwards to relevant external websites.
Our "New to SEND" page has been thoughtfully created for those who have recently discovered that they or their child has been diagnosed with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), or for anyone who feels unsure of where to start.
We value your feedback and would love to hear your thoughts. Please feel free to get in touch with us via our feedback form.

Telford College End of Year Music Gig
Level 2 Music learners (including those with EHCP’s) open the Telford College end of year Music gig at the Rechabite Hall in Wellington.
L2 BTEC Music Students opened the end of year gig at the Rechabite Hall in Wellinton with a fantastic set performed in front of over two-hundred and fifty friends, family, and tutors present. Lead singer Keiran Hoath was supported by bandmates Marshall Randal and Aster Hanlon on keyboard in what proved to be a fantastic end to their first term achievements at Telford College.
From the start of the year all Creative students at Telford College have developed specific subject skills coupled with essential soft skills to allow them to express their creative talent and share it with others.
Learner Manager Creative & Media John Abbott shared “We are immensely proud of all our students across all subject areas of the department. Students join us from a wide variety of backgrounds and in some cases individual journeys have been tough, however through the opportunities and experiences their tutors offer them from the very first day of college, it is amazing to witness such talent grow and develop.

Sensory Impairment Service
Following the hugely Taiko Drumming Workshop at The Hive, we were very excited to be offered the opportunity of a Samba Drumming workshop at Shrewsbury Flax mill Maltings.
The day consisted of a guided tour for students and their families of the exhibition which tells the history of this incredible building, the first multi floored, iron-framed building in the world, the grandparent of all skyscrapers!
Children then took part in the workshop with the fabulous Beth and Jon. A great time was had by all! If you would like to read more about how Sensory Inclusion Service is supporting children throughout Shropshire, please take a look at our newsletters: SEND News - SEND - Local offer
